An Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG) is a student-led organization, at a medical school, that helps students explore and prepare for a career in Emergency Medicine. EMIGs typically offer a variety of opportunities, including educational seminars and workshops, mentorship and networking opportunities, residency application support, and more—all aimed at fostering early interest and engagement in the specialty.
The ISAEM EMIG program seeks to promote and support the establishment and development of student-led EMIGs worldwide. The program provides guidance and start-up resources to facilitate the formation of EMIGs, as well as event ideas and instructional resources that EMIGs can use to host events.
Join ISAEM, start an EMIG, share your EMIG insights, and make EM accessible for all medical students!
