Global EM Registry Project

Share

One of EMIG’s major projects for this year is to create the first-ever central database of Emergency Medicine Residency/Post-Graduate Programs around the world. Currently, we are in the process of collecting information about different EM programs in countries all over the world. Once this information is collected, our goal is to create a website with all of the programs mapped out, similar to the one that is available for the EM programs in the United States of America (https://webapps.acep.org/utils/spa/match#/search/map). This is a huge undertaking and as such, we are partnering with a number of international EM organizations, including the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM), to make this Global EM project successful.

Currently, we are recruiting National Project Leads for every country to help us collect the required information about every program in that country. If you wish to apply for this position, and once selected, your job would be to individually reach out to every Emergency Medicine residency/post-graduate program in your country, introduce yourself, provide a brief description of our project and ISAEM, and then collect the information that is required for the website. This will provide you the opportunity to reach out and talk directly to the leaders of residency programs in your country. Additionally, you will be playing a vital role in representing your country as part of a Global EM Project. ISAEM will also provide you with a letter of recognition for your involvement in this initiative.

If you are interested in helping out with this initiative, please reach out to Sriram at sriramvenkatesan.emra@gmail.com.
